The project concerns the redevelopment of the roof of the M HKA (Museum of Contemporary Art Antwerp), located in the heart of Antwerp. In collaboration with the museum and the 'Cabinet for the Environment' of the City of Antwerp, Volle Grond is realizing a multifunctional climate roof in which urban agriculture, technology, climate adaptation and culture come together.
The aim is to create a green, productive and educational space on a currently paved and heat-sensitive roof surface. This project combines innovative techniques with social and ecological added value, and functions as a demonstration site for circular and multifunctional roof concepts.
The water regulating system of Global Water Control Systems is applied to the roof of the MHKA. This smart solution temporarily buffers rainwater on the roof and allows it to flow into the sewer system in a delayed manner. This creates space for greening, cooling and better urban water management.

Our system has been developed for maximum applicability:
- Can be placed anywhere on the roof, suitable for all standard drains up to Ø125.
- Easy to install yourself, with minimal technical handling
- Low-maintenance and robust – designed for a long service life
